Benefit Show for the Coup MOES ALLEY JAN. 21 8pm!!!!!

Thanks to all who came!!! In the true spirit of Hip Hop, we raised almost $1700 for the Coup, and had a collaboration of everyone involved. MCs Kanetic Source, Mr Free and Dem One all were put on the spot by the band we put together, with 3 members of Sambada, Dee Jay Kikkoman, David James (past guitarist for the Coup, Spearhead, and current member of Sila and the Afrofunk Experience). It sounded so good that Pam the funkstress joined in! Earlier in the night, Pam and Kikkoman battled it out comparing scratching skills, and I have to say that our very own Kikkoman made us proud by holding his own amidst the legendary heavyweight Funkstress. Matt Jones joined Mr Free for his set and left us all moved by his jaw dropping spoken word. And DJ EKO ROCKED us for the first part of the evening showing off her true DJ skills and rocking the crowd. Special thanks to Bill from Moes Alley for donating the space. He is ever gracious, and made it all possible. The love of the community was felt by everyone. Big love to all who helped spreading the word and making a true difference.
